Hi Nick, no this is my first time here, john set this up for me, i had no idea he had posted my stuff up here lol since i left IADT i hav been wandering aimlessly accross the countryside taming wild kittens and battling fox hunters in epic sword fights, more or less a normal summer then, what u been upta, i heard u were in New York?
Typical don eh? give those fox hunters hell old bean.
How in the hell did u find out I'd gone to new york so fast? damn internet always breaks my news before I get to it.. Anyway yeah I was there, doing the usual touristy stuff. Wish I had some crazy stories, but it was a fairly standard yet enjoyable holiday. Other than that, currently working in adverts with this storyboard artist guy, and trying to move out of animation entirely into concept art.. Its hard. >.<
I think someone mentioned you were in New York when I was at Christina's going away party, lol, cool ads, hav u worked on anything thats airing at the moment? I know our grads are in November but the date im not entirely sure, it may be the 11th. Concept art would be awesome to work in, you get to mess around with the ideas and the look of a project, not tearing your hair out trying to animate the bloody thing Definitely a more creative and appealing area than animation itself.
Ahh, that makes sense, just when I was wondering if I was in the truman show again and you had slipped up.
Anyway, yeah there's one on now, u probably wouldn't remember it though, its only running on channel 4 and e4 to my knowledge, its the Knorr soup ad with the camera turning around in the middle of the table, with the titles for each member of the family, narrated by the little girl. Its kind of lame, but we should have an O2 ad out soon that's pretty cool.
With any luck I'l b out of the animation game entirely in a year or two.. Well, one can dream eh?
